Partnerships

Hove Business Association has partnered with a number of private public and third sector organisations as part of its work to create a better environment for business and the community in Hove.
The Association works first and foremost alongside the Hove Business Partnership, through which issues that need to be raised on behalf of business with public sector partners can be aired. On behalf of members we work alongside community organisations. In recent years these have included Off the Fence – the charity for homeless people based in Portslade – and Kidz Klub who provide great facilities and opportunities for very young children in Hangleton. To broaden the range of training and networking opportunities available locally for our members, we are very happy to work alongside the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce and to keep members informed about their training and networking events.

At Your Service Awards

At Your Service Awards are supported by HBA and made possible through the partnership with the Portslade and Aldridge Community Academy (PACA).
Through the hard work and enthusiasm of the students and the ever-present support of the lecturers at PACA, the At Your Service Awards have proved a great success.

The 2015 Awards event was compered by Juice FM’s Talia French and saw businesses in Hove competing in eleven categories.

Winners included: Elle Phillips, Studio 57, City Books, Mulberry, Search Seven, Cafe Quench, The Foragers, Amazing Ovens, Waggie Tails Dog Grooming, Lady Driver and His and Hers Driving School and Lost Cats.

The Awards present opportunities for Hove businesses to showcase their services among their peers and also provide sponsorship opportunities to help support not only the Hove business community but also the development of the young talent that will be the future of business in Hove.

Brighton University Brighton Business School

We are very appreciative of the partnership we have the Brighton Business school, and for the support given by Dr Clifford Conway, Principal Lecturer. The school has provided interns who have worked with the Association and this has been of immense value to the running of the Association. The work with the association provides valuable learning opportunities for undergraduates and graduates.
